The LEGO Movie Directors Writing ‘The Flash’ Movie for Warner Bros.

The Flash Comic

Although you can watch The Flash every Tuesday night on the CW as the current season is in full swing, Warner Bros. has been in development of a feature film for the Scarlet Speedster as part of it’s DC Cinematic Universe for quite some time. Word came months ago that the film would not feature fan favorite Grant Gustin reprising his role from the television series, but rather Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) would take over for the film version. All has been quiet regarding the film until today when Deadline reported that writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie) are in the process of writing a treatment for the big screen adaptation!

No word yet as to which Flash we will see on the big screen, but we may find out as early as next years Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the character has been rumored to make an appearance. Before the solo film, Flash will appear in the upcoming Justice League Part One which hits theaters November 10, 2017.

The Flash is currently set for release March 23, 2018.

First Look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’

Zack Snyder via EW has released the first look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeSnyder had the following comments regarding that character:

“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.  Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake.  He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters on March 25, 2016.

New Poster and Episode Description Released for Upcoming ‘Flash’ Return

bigflashposter

We’re only a few short days away from the return of The Flash and the CW has graced us with an epic new poster depicting the scarlet speedster caught between darkness and light. Could this be a foreshadowing of what is to come for our favorite new superhero?!

The return episode is titled “Out of Time” and features guest star Mark Hamill as The Trickster, a role he played on the ’90s “The Flash” series. The episode is set to air Tuesday March 18th at 8 P.M. EST. Read on if you want to know what the episode will entail:

Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde’s death, and sets his sights on Joe, who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry, Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn’t listen and ends up in grave danger. Meanwhile, Cisco looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells. Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie and Iris.

The epsidoe is directed by Thor Freudenthal and written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing,

Are you excited for the Flash to return? What do you expect for the remainder of the season?!

Don’t Look Now, But A New DC Comics Team-Up TV Series is Coming with Some Familiar Faces!

fzdeE5f

DC TV universe is about to get bigger as the CW looks to create it’s own team-up spin-off of it’s successful Arrow and Flash franchises. A list of familiar actors and actresses planned to reprise their roles on the new show has surfaced and *SPOILER* one of the names will surprise you!

Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are working with the network to create the show with Brandon Routh reprising his Arrow role as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Victor Garber reprising his Flash role as Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm , Wentworth Miller as Flash villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Black Canary. The project will also include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series!

Whoa whoa whoa…wait a minute….Caity Lotz? Fans of the show Arrow will remember it was Lotz’s character Sara who met her demise this season on the show, so how could this be? And why would Captain Cold be part of this superhero team up? Could they be re-creating his character as Citizen Cold persona from the comics? And Martin Stein is only HALF of Firestorm in the Flash series, how will they work without Robbie Amell’s half! What in the crap is going on here?!

Brandon-Routh

The project is in early stages of development, so obviously a lot could change from now until production so we’ll let the creative minds behind this idea work it all out, but I can honestly say I am extremely interested to see what they come up with.

Word is that the show could go straight to series, possibly for next midseason debut

Keep it here for all your TV news!
