Liz’s Review: I hear ‘THE VOICES’ , and I like it
As a child I watched Tom & Jerry cartoons. Cat chases mouse, and on rare occasions, Tom would be presented with a small angel on one should and a small devil on the other, telling him to do things. In Marjane Satrapi‘s new horror comedy, THE VOICES, a man life is being controlled by good and evil. Though it’s not an angel and a devil but ironically, a cat and a dog.

Yes, I’m a Ryan Reynolds fan. I actually get a lot of flack about that from my buddies on The Reel Big Show. He’s not just a pretty face though. He has been very busy in the past few years and now six of his movies are slated for release this year. Mississippi Grind, co-starring the magnificent Ben Mendleson has been picked up by A24 at Sundance, The Voices, co-starring Anna Kendrick comes the theaters/VOD Friday (Liz’s review coming soon) and The Captive comes to Bluray/DVD/VOD March 3rd. Woman In Gold starring Helen Mirren comes out April 3rd, then two other releases, Selfless with Ben Kingsley and Criminal with Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones and Alice Eve. Whew.

Deadline is reporting that current Hollywood darling, Chris Pratt, is being courted by Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm to take over the icon role as Indiana Jones in a future incarnation of the franchise. The outlet notes that plans are in very early stages but it’s Deadline so…we believe it’d credible.

The ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Cast Revealed
Hollywood can’t let classic films lie undisturbed and the mining of my childhood continues..today the official cast announcement came on director Paul Feig’s twitter feed, and your new Ghostbusters has been announced, and as expected, it’s an all female cast. Who ya gonna call? Well, Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat), Leslie Jones (Top Five), and Kate McKinnon (Life Partners) is who.
The remake of Ivan Reitman’s 1984 comedy classic is said to detach itself from the original film and its sequel and will instead focus on a more scarier tone.
The new Ghostbusters film is scheduled to shoot this summer in New York.

Camp Counselors Confirmed in the Teaser for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Netflix Series Coming This Summer
The counselors are confirmed in this teaser for Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, a limited 8-episode series coming to Netflix just in time for summer. Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter are among some of the cast joining the series, which tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood’s famous summer season, now fourteen years after the film’s debut. The series is directed by David Wain and co-written by Wain and Michael Showalter.
