Production Begins on ‘Code of Honor’ Starring Steven Seagal

Premiere Entertainment Group has announced today that production has commenced in Salt Lake City, Utah for the highly-anticipated action/thriller Code of Honor starring Steven Seagal . The film is written and directed by Michael Winnick (Guns, Girls and Gambling) and co-stars Craig Sheffer (A River Runs Through It) and Helena Mattsson (Iron Man 2).

The film tells the story of a special forces colonel who has recently returned back home from the middle east after going on terminal leave. He quickly realizes his home town has disintegrated into a violent degenerate world run by murderers and narco-terrorists.  After little deliberation he decides to covertly enter the shadow world and do what he does best. Almost no one can stop him, but an old teammate tries.

“We’re excited to bring this action-packed film together under the direction of Michael Winnick,” said Ryan Noto, President of Premiere Entertainment.  “Steven Seagal has huge worldwide appeal, and we’re confident that this film will generate word of mouth among fans and general audiences alike.”

Code of Honor is being produced by Premiere Entertainment’s Noto and CEO Elias Axume.

New Featurette for Netflix Series ‘Bloodline’ Released

On March 20, Netflix will release the newest series from Damages co-creators Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler called Bloodline, and it will no doubt become your new favorite obsession. Netflix has released a special featurette online that you can view below!

The show is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community. But when the black sheep son comes home for the 45th anniversary of his parents’ hotel, he threatens to expose the Rayburns’ dark secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty.

The series stars Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises), Linda Cardellini (Mad Men), Sam Shepard (The Right Stuff), Sissy Spacek (Carrie), Norbert Leo Butz (Dan in Real Life), Jamie McShane (Sons of Anarchy), Jacinda Barrett (Suits) and Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace). The series also includes appearances by Chloe Sevigny, Steve Pasquale, Mia Kirshner, and Katie Finneran.

All 13 episodes of Bloodline will launch only on Netflix on Friday, March 20th so hurry up and finish season 3 of House of Cards!

Ben Foster Cast in Da Vinci Code Sequel ‘Inferno’

Columbia Pictures has announced that Ben Foster (Lone Survivor) has been added to the all star cast of Ron Howard’s upcoming sequel Inferno, the third film in the Da Vinci Code franchise.

Tom Hanks will return to reprise his role as Robert Langdon opposite Felicity Jones as Dr. Sienna Brooks, Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi) as Harry Sims (aka The Provost), Omar Sy (The Intouchables) as Christoph Bruder and Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen) as Dr. Elizabeth Sinskey, the head of the World Health Organization. Foster’s role has not yet been revealed.

Ron Howard returns for another go in the continuing Robert Langdon adventures with principal photography beginning at the end of April. David Koepp wrote the screenplay based on the book by Dan Brown.

Inferno is actually the forth book in the Dan Brown book series and features a storyline which centers around a madman who intends on releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s immortal tome The third book, “The Lost Symbol”, has yet to be made into a feature.

The film will be released on October 14, 2016

Tim Burton to Make Live Action ‘Dumbo’ for Disney!

best-tim-burton-moviesDirector Tim Burton is making his return to Walt Disney Pictures for a new live action adaptation of the beloved classic Dumbo. The original animated Dumbo, released in 1941, told the story of a young circus elephant who, ridiculed for his big ears, discovers that he can actually use them to fly. The movie will be shot mixing live-action and CGI and will feature a screenplay by Ehren Kruger (Transformers).

Disney has been on quite a roll lately, finding success in adapting timeless animated classics to live-action, which all started with Burton’s own Alice in Wonderland, which went on to make more than a billion dollar worldwide. The studio will release Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella this Friday.

Stiller and Wilson Officially Announce ‘Zoolander 2’ at Paris Fashion Week!

Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) walked the runway at the Valentino Women’s Collection Fall/Winter 2015-16 Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week on March 10, 2015 in Paris, France to officially announce the start of production on Zoolander 2, which Paramount Pictures will release in theaters on February 12, 2016.

Both actors showed up in style as Stiller wore a custom Night Butterflies brocade suit with hand-embroidered overcoat and black Creeper shoes, while Wilson sported a Silk Continent print Pajama suit with Double Cashmere overcoat and Open sneakers.

The film, which will shoot in Rome from a script by Stiller co-wrote with director Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder). Supporting cast is said to include Will Ferrell, Penélope Cruz, Jonah Hill,  Cara Delevingne and Christine Taylor.

New Line Cinema and Village Roadshow Pictures have released the new trailer for San Andreas starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The film reunites Johnson with director Brad Peyton and producer Beau Flynn who previously collaborated on Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

The film also stars Carla Gugino (Watchmen), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective), Ioan Gruffudd (Forever), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), Hugo Johnstone-Burt (Home and Away), Art Parkinson (Game of Thrones) and Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man).

Sony PlayStation has debuted the first three episodes of their first original series Powers, an adaptation of the Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s Icon Comics series on the PlayStation Network today, but to entice all of you who don’t subscribe to the service, the pilot episode has also debuted on YouTube for you to get hooked on and entice you to join! You can check out the pilot and the trailer for what’s coming below!

The series revolves around two homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim who investigate cases involving superheroes and supervillains, which are common in their world. They work in a special homicide division called Powers. The series stars Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Detective Christian Walker and Susan Heyward (The Following) as Detective Deena Pilgrim. The show also stars Max Fowler, Adam Godley, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin and Eddie Izzard. 

Powers will be free of charge to PlayStation Plus members with a new episode to premiere every Tuesday.

Walt Disney Pictures has released the new trailer for for the upcoming Tomorrowland which you can watch below!

The movie stars George Clooney, a grizzled inventor, and Britt Robertson, a young teen who is curious about science are bound together by a shared destiny which takes them to a place somewhere in time and space only known as Tomorrowland. Upon arrival, the two quickly realize that their actions there will directly effect their lives, and the world, forever.

The film also stars Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson. It is directed by Brad Bird.

Tomorrowland opens wide on May 22, 2015.

Home Box Office announced today the name of its standalone premium streaming service – HBO NOW– and that the service will launch this April, bringing the highly anticipated new product to audiences in time for the fifth season of Game of Thrones.  HBO and Apple also announced that for the first time an HBO subscription will be made available directly to Apple customers through HBO NOW.
