According to Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, Pixar is working on a fourth Toy Story film and John Lasseter, who directed the original and who now serves as Chief Creative Officer for all three of Disney’s animation studios, will direct! The announcement was made during an earnings call today. Disney also announced through its Oh My Disney Blog this evening that the film will be written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.
According to Oh My Disney, Toy Story 4 will “bring Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys back to the big screen.”
Although officially unconfirmed at this time, it’s just about a certainty that Toy Story 4 will feature the return of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and the rest of the previous voice talent.
