Earlier today, Ryan Reynolds talked to the Niagara Falls Review (via ComicBook.com) about the recent reaction to the leaked test footage of the Deadpool feature film saying:
“There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, ‘Oh, so we weren’t crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.’ It’s interesting to see the power of the Internet. It’s awe-inspiring, actually”
Well…it seems 20th Century Fox were listening! The studio has announced they are moving forward with the film and have given it a February 12, 2016 release date! Interesting timing for this release as it falls just months away from X-Men: Apocalypse. Could we possibly see Deadpool in Apocalypse!
Ryan Reynolds will star in the film for director Tim Miller and the script will be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland).
