Which actors & actresses would you draft for the perfect movie?

In this special edition of The Reel Big Show, Michael had the idea for the gang to choose a movie concept and then they would cast it, ala snake draft!

Here’s a few teasers, but you’ll have to listen to get the details!

Trailer for ‘Slow West’ Starring Michael Fassbender is Here

A24 has released the trailer for their upcoming western comedy thriller Slow West, starring Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Ben Mendelsohn (Killing Them Softly), and Caren Pistorius (Offspring). The film is written and directed by John Maclean

The film follows a 16-year-old boy Jay Cavendish (Smit-McPhee) on a journey across 19th Century frontier America in search of Rose (Pistorius),  the woman for whom young Cavendish has fallen in love with. Accompanied by mysterious traveler Silas Selleck (Fassbender), who is paid to protect the young man ,the two must contend with a posse of outlaws lead by Payne (Mendelsohn), who looks to get in their way.

Slow West was the recipient of the World Cinema Dramatic Grand Jury Prize following its Sundance debut earlier this year.

The film will premiere on DirecTV April 16th and will arrive in theaters and VOD May 15th.

It’s rare these days you see a film that is so different from everything else. Frank is the story of an eclectic indie band and it’s lead singer of the same name. A young aspiring songwriter Jon, played adorably by Domhnall Gleeson, stumbles upon the band “Soronprfbs” and inadvertently becomes their keyboardist. The band travels to Ireland to record their album. While abroad, Gleeson delves into the mystery that is Frank. You see, Frank is never seen without his massive, cartoonesque, papier-mâché head on. Gleeson secretly shares short rehearsal clips on the internet to create a buzz around the band, leading to a requested appearance at South By Southwest. But is that really best for Frank? Acclaimed Irish director Lenny Abrahamson follows up his award-winning films Adam & Paul, Garage, and What Richard Did with an offbeat comedy about a young wannabe musician, Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), who finds himself out of his depth when he joins an avant-garde pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank (Michael Fassbender), a musical genius who hides himself inside a large fake head, and his terrifying bandmate Clara (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

Written by Jon Ronson (The Men Who Stare At Goats) and Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Men Who Stare At Goats), Frank is based on the memoir by Jon Ronson. It is a fictional story loosely inspired by Frank Sidebottom, the persona of cult musician and comedy legend Chris Sievey, as well as other outsider musicians like Daniel Johnston and Captain Beefheart.
