Today, Open Road Films released the first look at Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone’s International thriller, Snowden. The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Edward Snowden, an American computer professional who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) to the mainstream media, starting in June 2013. In this first look, before he was a whistle-blower, Edward was an ordinary man who unquestioningly served his country.
Snowden is currently shooting in Munich, before moving to locations around the world. The film also stars Shailene Woodley (Divergent), Scott Eastwood (Fury), Nicolas Cage (Left Behind), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Melissa Leo (Prisoners), and Tom Wilkinson (Selma)
Open Road Films will release Snowden in the U.S. on December 25, 2015.
