These 3 are actually expiring August 24th!
- The Best Man Holiday – Sequel to The Best Man (1999)
- The Counselor – Either you love it or you hate it. I hated it, but have a strange desire to give it another try. Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz
- Enough Said – James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss
There are a lot of movies expiring, these are the ones I would want to catch. My personal suggestions in RED.
- 8MM – remember this Nicolas Cage & Joaquin Phoenix thriller? SO GOOD.
- 9 1/2 Weeks – You’ve heard about it all your life. Time to watch this classic with Mickey Rouke and Kim Basinger
- The Abyss – James Cameron’s first voyage in the ocean is misogynistic, but the action is cool. Gee, sounds like Michael Bay.
- Argo – Oscar winner directed and starring Ben Affleck. It’s really good.
- The Beverly Hillbillies – Oh, for fun.
- The Darjeeling Limited – Many don’t care for this Wes Anderson journey to India, but I love the dynamic between the three brothers.
- The Dark Knight Rises – Have you seen this since the theater? Now’s the time.
- Disconnect – Fantastically underrated starring Jason Bateman and Alexander Skarsgard.
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – Take a trip without leaving your couch.
- Jawbreaker – Wow. Remember this? It’s just as good 15 YEARS LATER.
- Leaving Las Vegas – Honestly, I’ve never seen it. Probably best to only watch once.
- Madagascar – Adorable animated animals.
- Meet Joe Black – I still don’t get this movie.
- Midnight Cowboy – One of the all-time classics. See New York in 1969.
- Nothing to Lose – Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins in this hilarious buddy comedy.
- Now and Then – Christina Ricci, Rosie O’Donnell, Thora Birch, Melanie Griffith, Gaby Hoffmann, Demi Moore, Ashleigh Aston Moore and Rita Wilson
- Rushmore – An earlier Wes Anderson gem.
- Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion – Oh, c’mon, you know you’re dying to watch this.
- Seeking a Friend For the End of the World – Hilarious and sweet. Steve Carell and Keira Knightley
- The Shining – The scariest movie EVER.
- Swingers – Just as funny as when it was released.
- Sunshine – If you’re any kind of sci-fi fan, you MUST SEE THIS. Danny Boyle directs. A team of international astronauts are sent on a dangerous mission to reignite the dying Sun with a nuclear fission bomb in 2057.
- The Warriors – “Warriors….come out and pla-a-a-y…” A time capsule of 80’s New York.
SUNSHINE. I adore it. Should be watched by all.
