Tim Burton to Make Live Action ‘Dumbo’ for Disney!

best-tim-burton-moviesDirector Tim Burton is making his return to Walt Disney Pictures for a new live action adaptation of the beloved classic Dumbo. The original animated Dumbo, released in 1941, told the story of a young circus elephant who, ridiculed for his big ears, discovers that he can actually use them to fly. The movie will be shot mixing live-action and CGI and will feature a screenplay by Ehren Kruger (Transformers).

Disney has been on quite a roll lately, finding success in adapting timeless animated classics to live-action, which all started with Burton’s own Alice in Wonderland, which went on to make more than a billion dollar worldwide. The studio will release Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella this Friday.

No release date for the film has been set. Keep it here for updates as they become available!
