Playstation wants to be your new cable option – $29.99 for 55+ channels

Be careful. It’s good to have options, but if make sure you check out how much of your cable bill is internet. Chances are you’re already paying at least $50 for high speed and if you’re not, you’ll need it.


Subscribers can currently enjoy a rich lineup of popular live and on-demand TV shows, sports and movies from top networks like AMC, ESPN, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, and more, using PlayStation Vue’s unique streaming features. Standalone network channels, including SHOWTIME and Fox Soccer Plus, are also available to users as a la carte offerings.

With an Internet connection, there are no additional fees, such as monthly set-top box fees, or long-term contracts for PlayStation Vue. The three multi-channel plans start at $29.99 per month and all plans include a seven-day free trial for first time subscribers:

  • Access: 55+ channels, including live cable TV, movies and sports channels for $29.99 per month ($39.99 in cities with live local broadcast stations*).
  • Core: 70+ channels, including all the channels from Access with the addition of live national and regional sports networks for $34.99 per month ($44.99 in cities with live local broadcast stations*).
  • Elite: 100+ channels, featuring all the channels from Core with the addition of top movie and entertainment channels for $44.99 per month ($54.99 in cities with live local broadcast stations).
