The Wrap is reporting that Channing Tatum is planning to exit the upcoming X-Men spinoff, Gambit amidst concern about the budget according to sources. This comes as director Rupert Wyatt planned to begin filming in October. Screen tests for the film’s female lead are underway with Blue is the Warmest Color‘s Lea Seydoux among the actresses reading for the part.
Tatum recently surprised attendees by showing up at Fox’s X-Men panel at San Diego Comic Con.
