Deliver Us From Evil – Wednesday
Where to Watch: Nationwide Release
Holy moly this trailer scared me. Admittedly, I am scared easily, but this looks like an old-fashioned jumpscare funhouse. Throw in Eric Bana and Olivia Munn and this might be a nice little distraction from the big blockbusters.
Earth to Echo – Wednesday
Where to Watch: Nationwide Release
Young kids find a cute little robot alien, what’s not to love? It’ll no doubt be entertaining, but a first-time director and a first-time screenwriter? Hmmmmm…..
Tammy – Wednesday
Where to Watch: Nationwide Release
Based on this trailer, I have no clue what this is about and I really don’t care. Although I applaud the mostly female cast, I can’t help but cringe at the stupidness. I suppose after Identity Thief didn’t bomb, Melissa McCarthy and husband, Ben Falcone, thought, “Why not?”
Life Itself – Friday
Where to Watch: Limited Release
Siskel & Ebert, Ebert & Roper, Roger Ebert is synonymous with film criticism. There won’t be a dry eye in the house.
The Girl on the Train – Thursday
Where to Watch: Limited Release
Looks low on budget but high on story. Can’t seem to find where it’s playing, but I’m guessing New York. PR people, you need to get on that.
