For those of us with a cable subscription, this is pretty awesome news. NBC Sports is calling it Super Stream Sunday to promote TV Everywhere. According to the press release: “Consumers Will Be Able to Stream 11 Continuous Hours of NBC Content on Super Bowl Sunday” Oh, and don’t worry, you’ll also be able to still see the ads via a tumblr page. Feeling nostalgic? There’s also a few from the 90s to take you back in time.
“NBC Live Stream Programming Will Include: Super Bowl XLIX; Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show Starring Katy Perry; Super Bowl XLIX Pre- & Post-Game Shows; and Midseason Debut of The Blacklist”
You can watch the Super Bowl on your computer at NBC Sports Live Extra. Normally you’d have to login using a cable subscription credentials, but as of 12pm next Sunday, NBC states there will be no prompt, you can access it for absolutely free.
If you have an Apple TV, there’s an app available which will allow you to watch on your television, which is how I’ll be doing it.
Or you can also download the app for your phone (iPhone or Android) and watch on the go!
