Marvel Studios has just officially announced that Benedict Cumberbatch will star in director Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange for the studios Phase 3 in their Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Stephen Strange is a neurosurgeon who. after a car accident severely damaged the nerves in his hands, ending his surgical career, searches for a remedy to cure to heal his wounds but ultimately discovers a hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions that leads him to become the Sorcerer Supreme, responsible for protecting Earth against mystical threats
