Melissa’s Bluray Review: ‘Maleficent’ is Just as Impressive on the Small Screen

Even though I saw Maleficent in theaters, I was still captivated when watching at home. From the opening moment, the visuals are breathtaking and the music sweeps you into the world of Maleficent.

The story begins with young Maleficent, who is full of dreams and kindness. That’s exactly why I really liked this movie. It has some flaws (most notably the baby cursing scene) but overall, I really loved the story of Maleficent.

Angelina is stunning as the title character. She has a presence that is perfect for the role. Through watching some of the bonus features, I found out that she actually worked with the writer because she had an idea of her character. This shows in her performance as well as in her dialogue.

I would definitely recommend getting this for your family. Also, make sure to take advantage of the Disney Movies Anywhere, which gives you a digital version you can watch through the Disney app or through iTunes.
