4 Guesses for the Surprise Screening at this year’s New York Film Festival

Film Society at Lincoln Center has a “surprise screening” this year for the New York Film Festival. Two of the movies in recent years have been Martin Scorcese‘s Hugo and Stephen Spielberg‘s Lincoln. I’ve never been lucky enough to get tickets, but this year, I did, so my mind is going wild with the possibilities. Maybe I’m way off base, but here’s my top 5 guesses. What do you think? Interstellar – In Theaters November 7th
Directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica ChastainMichael Caine, and Casey Affleck.
There’s been must anticipation around the next Christopher Nolan film, and I’m no exception. He’s got a fantastic storytelling ability as well as a visual style that’s grand, yet accessible. This is my #1 pick.

Directed by David Ayer. Starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf,Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, and Jason Isaacs.
World War II drama with Brad Pitt as the lead? Sign me up. He was amazing in World War Z and now here’s something he could actually get nominated for.

Winner of the People’s Choice award at the Toronto Film Festival, this has awards written all over it.
